The Douglas Park neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia, is full of families and kids. This truly is the greatest neighborhood in Arlington. From the traditional 4th of July parade, picnic and BBQ, to the Winter Holiday Bonfire and singalong, the community is active and welcoming. There are 2 playgrounds and parks right up the street and the bike trail is one block away. There are also 2 community gardens within walking distance. Fire Station #9 is at the top of the hill and welcomes visitors tall and small.

The Villages at Shirlington and Columbia Pike, are both walkable and provide many choices for eating out and entertainment.

Walter Reed community center is close by and hosts birthday parties, classes, air hockey, pool and ping pong tables and a wonderful playground next to 3 tennis courts and a large playing field.

Barcroft Sports center is just down the street, and has 2 gyms, several ball fields and soccer fields, a terrific playground and hosts Phoenix Bikes.

Douglas Park is a wonderful neighborhood of single family homes, with very few rentals available.
